Develop test cases and test scenarios that provide thorough coverage of implemented features, configuration changes and other change requests.
Regression test applications prior to release into UAT and production environments.
Develop automated test scripts in Selenium
Execute smoke tests and regression tests in QA, UAT and production environments to verify code deployments and other system changes
Create, update and track execution of test cases
Identify, isolate, replicate, report and track issues to closure in an issue tracking system (JIRA, TFS)
Review requirements, providing feedback on completeness, testability and other risk areas
Review change requests and provide level of effort estimates
Provide regular status updates to the project team, supervisors and project managers
Assist in the maintenance of test environments including user accounts, application config and build deployments
Work closely with distributed project teams
Participate in identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities within QA and broader project teams
KEY SKILLS
Sound experience in Selenium, Java along with BDD/TDD is a MUST.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
Experience with web application testing.
Technical understanding of web application development, mobile application development and deployment concepts.
Ability to create test cases based on user stories and business requirements.
Ability to execute QA testing, interpret test results, and document outcomes
Self-motivated, able to set priorities and work autonomously
Understanding of various software testing methods, levels, types, and processes and where they fit in the overall SDLC Comfortable in writing and executing SQL queries for data testing.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Good Exposure to Back-end/ETL testing with high-level of SQL skills is necessary.
Participated in multiple Test Phases in medium to large projects.
Should have Strong Test Process Orientation and familiarity with Test Scenario Identification and Test Data Preparation Techniques.
Thorough Knowledge of Software Test Life Cycle, Test Case Life Cycle, Defect Life Cycle etc.
Proficiency with Test Case Preparation & Execution.
